Key job responsibilities 1. Lead the entire product lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance of highly scalable distributed software systems. 2. Identify and enhance team processes and best practices, influence technical direction, drive operational excellence, and maintain quality standards for team deliverables. 3. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new product features. 4. Mentor and develop junior engineers, demonstrating best development practices and providing constructive feedback. 5. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - Master's degree in Computer Science - Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
