About the Job 
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for planning, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions. Your role involves managing the technical design and application development, ensuring thorough testing of the software you create. Additionally, you will provide support and consultation for the relevant applications, ensuring their optimal performance and functionality.

What you do

  • Evaluate functional and technical requirements for feasibility and translate them into technical software designs
  • Design, test, debug, document, and implement software or application components
  • Integrate third-party software and operating system-related components
  • Ensure non-functional requirements, such as performance, data protection, IT security, and usability, are met
  • Maintain the systems’ future viability, considering both technical and functional environments during software development
  • Collaborate in a team to develop software, applying software engineering techniques and methods

What you bring

  • Over 6 years of proven experience in software development with best practices, supported by a degree in business informatics, mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in demand, configuration, release, deployment, and test management
  • Strong programming skills in Java, REST, and Spring, and scripting with Groovy, Ansible, and JSON
  • Proficiency with tools such as IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, WSL, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • Experience with platforms like Linux, AWS, and EKS, with additional knowledge of Angular and PostgreSQL being advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration in a remote/hybrid work environment Proficiency in English is mandatory, with German language skills highly appreciated
  • Willingness to attend occasional in-person events at Allianz Technology in Germany
