• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Software Developer in New York, NY (multiple positions available):

• Analyze, design, test and implement risk components in a high performance real time application.
• Design and implement network protocols for correctness, robustness, and performance.
• Development of Risk and PnL components dealing directly with quant libraries.
• Work on revenue generating business projects for the Flow Derivatives Desk.
• Face time with traders, Quants and other business users both for understanding new feature requests and providing support.
• Build robust, high-performance, large scale Java applications.
• Second-level support of the application.
• Manage team of three (3) software developers.
• May telecommute.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $260,000 per year
Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $286,000 per year
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
