Description

This is an exciting time to be joining Delta Star!
We are Delta Star! The largest, American-owned medium power transformer manufacturer in the United States and the premier manufacturer of mobile transformers and mobile power substations in North America.
We are an industry-leader that has harnessed the power of electricity to reliably connect you to an essential part of modern-day life. Giving you the peace of mind you deserve to go out and make the world a better place!
Summary
Delta Star Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Developer – Microsoft 365 Platform to design, build, and maintain business applications that drive productivity across the organization. If you’re passionate about leveraging Microsoft 365 tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint to solve real business challenges — and enjoy collaborating with teams to deliver meaningful solutions — we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
As a Software Developer – Microsoft 365 Platform, you’ll work across departments to discover and analyze business needs, design and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, and provide mentorship on Microsoft 365-based applications. From automating workflows to building data-driven apps and integrating enterprise systems, you’ll play a key role in optimizing operations and improving user experience company-wide.
A Day in the Life
You’ll spend your day gathering requirements, translating user needs into functional applications, and working within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to build custom solutions. You’ll use tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and reduce manual tasks. Whether you’re customizing a SharePoint form or developing a complex workflow, you’ll collaborate closely with internal customers, IT staff, and business partners to ensure solutions are both effective and scalable.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute across all phases of development — from analysis and design to testing and deployment — while offering insight and mentorship to peers on Power Platform best practices.

Specific Duties

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture, define, and analyze business requirements.
  • Design and develop custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Power BI, and Outlook.
  • Create and optimize workflows and forms using Power Platform tools.
  • Build and maintain integrations with Microsoft 365 services and external APIs.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of database-backed applications using tools such as Azure SQL Database or SQL Server.
  • Customize SharePoint lists and forms using Power Apps to support operational workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members on Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Research and recommend improvements based on evolving technologies and business needs.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a collaborative and creative problem-solver with a strong technical foundation in Microsoft 365 development. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with hands-on coding, system integration, and engaging with stakeholders to deliver thoughtful, impactful solutions.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, CRM and Office 365 integration.
  • Hands-on experience with modern development tools and frameworks including:
  • Power BI
  • Azure SQL Database / SQL Server
  • C# and .NET
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Azure DevOps or Jenkins pipelines

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, and enterprise security.
  • Familiarity with ERP and manufacturing planning concepts.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles and their application in business tools.
  • Ability to create automation scripts and templates to streamline development operations.

Travel Requirements
Up to 20% travel may be required.
