Description

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and develop sophisticated web applications using React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Build responsive, intuitive interfaces for real-time data, analytics, visualisation and reporting.
  • Develop highly interactive applications where performance and reliability are critical.
  • Contribute to backend services and APIs using technologies such as Java, C++ or C#.
  • Design and integrate REST APIs, WebSockets and other real-time data services.
  • Work with relational and high-performance databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar technologies.
  • Optimise application performance, responsiveness and scalability.
  • Work directly with end users to understand complex requirements and turn them into effective technical solutions.
  • Contribute to architecture, system design and technical decision-making.
  • Take ownership of features across the full development lifecycle, from initial design through to production.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in experienced Software Engineers who have built complex, data-intensive applications rather than purely content-driven websites.

You should have strong experience across:

  • React and modern frontend application development.
  • TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Building complex web-based applications and user interfaces.
  • Application architecture, state management and frontend performance.
  • REST APIs and ideally WebSockets or other real-time technologies.
  • Backend development using Java, C++ or C#/.NET.
  • Databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar.
  • Modern software engineering practices, including Git, testing and code review.
  • Experience with technologies such as Redux, GraphQL, D3.js or other data visualisation libraries would be particularly relevant.
