SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - FULL STACK - INTERMEDIATE:

On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Full Stack - Intermediate for a 7 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - FULL STACK - INTERMEDIATE - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This critical project involves the expansion of data pipelines and software development. The role focuses on new development and integration of current systems to enhance data processing capabilities.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - FULL STACK - INTERMEDIATE - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Experience in systems design, configuration, integration, and development using JAVA, J2EE, JSF, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL.
  • Proficiency in using open-source software such as Spring, myBatis, Bootstrap, jQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with n-tier web-based application development using Oracle databases.
  • Development experience with Web Services, web responsive frontend development, and AODA compliant solutions.
  • Experience using reporting tools such as Jasper.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting the SDLC (agile/iterative) and implementing business-critical software applications.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - FULL STACK - INTERMEDIATE – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
  • Understanding of Information Management principles and practices.
  • Experience with middleware and gateways.
  • Familiarity with Public Sector Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) and Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) processes.
  • Experience with design walkthrough sessions and post-implementation support.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and expand data pipelines through extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
  • Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
  • Develop detailed programming specifications, write and generate code, and conduct unit tests.
  • Resolve technical problems and provide technical assistance during software implementation and migration.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
