Garver’s Information Technology department is seeking an experienced Software Developer to develop, maintain and enhance Garver’s applications, databases and external/internal websites. This position will interact with Garver’s Corporate Support and Business Line staff to meet their needs on a variety of projects, including:

• Developing, maintaining, and making enhancements to a variety of software applications.
• Supporting websites as well as applications related to the website, corporate intranet , mobile apps, and internal/external communication.
• Collaborating with a variety of departments on various projects.
• Researching new technologies and ways to improve our current software and processes.
• Supporting daily issues as needed.
• Working on special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in and with teams
• C# or other .NET software development experience
• Proficiency with front-end web development technologies (Javascript/HTML5/CSS)
• SQL Server database experience (or other databases)

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Working knowledge of ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Core
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or another cloud computing environment
• Ability and skills to contribute to the design aspect of projects
• Ability to learn quickly and act independently
• Eager to learn new applications and technologies
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks while working under tight deadlines
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to work in a challenging position
• Team player
• Ability to work well with and provide excellent service to end users.
