This role plays a key part in enhancing system integrations, improving process efficiency, and supporting the continuous growth and automation of the company’s technical environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in application development, database management, APIs, and problem-solving within a fast-paced logistics, distribution, or supply-chain environment. Key Responsibilities Application Development Develop, enhance, and maintain internal software tools and applications used across warehouse and logistics operations. Write clean, scalable, and secure code following best practices and company standards. Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Systems & Integrations Support integrations between WMS, TMS, ERP, and EDI systems. Develop APIs, services, and data pipelines to streamline communication between systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system integrations, data flow, and third-party applications. Database & Reporting Build and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database structures. Support reporting tools and dashboards used for operations, inventory, KPIs, and customer analytics. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance optimization. Collaboration & Support Work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Customer Solutions, and IT Infrastructure. Provide technical support to users and help resolve application bugs or performance issues. Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with the development team. Continuous Improvement Recommend improvements to optimize workflows, reduce manual tasks, and improve system performance. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies relevant to logistics and software development. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 3–5 years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as: C# / .NET, Java, Python, or Node.js Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL), and data modeling. Experience building and consuming REST APIs. Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns. Experience working with source control systems (Git). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, or distribution environments. Experience with: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – Softeon EDI integrations (850, 856, 810, etc.) ERP or TMS systems Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Experience with automation tools or scripting (PowerShell, Python). Understanding of UI frameworks or front-end tools (React, Angular, or similar).
