Description:

BrainBox AI utilizes self-adapted artificial intelligence technology to proactively optimize the energy consumption of one of the largest climate change contributors: Buildings.
Our AI engine supports a self-operating building that requires no human intervention. Using deep learning, cloud-based computing, and our proprietary process, our solution autonomously optimizes existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control systems for maximum impact on energy consumption.
An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate to be part of a fast-growing company in this newly created team. We are looking to hire an experienced Software Developer II to contribute. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of new software systems. Additional responsibilities include performing code reviews to ensure high standards, troubleshooting and debugging to maintain seamless operation, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with business goals. You may also be required to update existing software, write proposals for new features, mentor junior developers, and document key processes for effective knowledge sharing within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement micro-services and tools to provide new capabilities to our LLM (ARIA) model.
  • Work on micro-services to allow our client to interact with various types of data we provide.
  • Help supervise the deployment of components built by our team.
  • Interact with different teams within the company to coordinate and achieve our goals.
  • Collaborate with the AI Research team to gather feedback and integrate the latest findings and methodologies.
  • Document development processes, share insights, and maintain organized documentation for knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Conduct code reviews to uphold high-quality coding standards and promote best practices.
  • Update existing software systems and propose enhancements to improve functionality and efficiency.

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent through experience – have you competed in a Kaggle competition? followed MOOCs? read AI/ML textbooks? follow AI development (papers/blogs)?
  • 3+ years of proven relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and knowledge of micro-services architecture.
  • Extensive knowledge in Object Oriented programming with python.
  • Able to implement algorithms and methodologies from leading open-source initiatives and research papers: decipher theory into practice.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across teams.
  • Determined, solution oriented and catalyst for change.
  • Innovative thinker, able to enhance all the algorithms based on business needs and requirements.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex software issues.
  • Familiar with LLM architecture and best practices.
