POSITION OVERVIEW:

NISC is always seeking out talented software developers & engineers who are motivated, collaborative, and excited to solve complex challenges. We’re especially interested in individuals with experience working on a full stack development team in emerging technologies who can help us explore and integrate intelligent automation into our solutions.

This position would be on our iVUE Connect Service Development team, which is NISC’s solution providing functionality to support and enhance the business processes performed by customer service representatives in the billing department, such as reviewing the details of a customer’s recent bill, adding charges to the customer’s account, enrolling the customer in a billing program (e.g. budget or prepaid billing), adjusting a customer’s bill, among many others.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Generally, requires 5+ years’ experience in software development
  • Proficient with Angular, or other Typescript web application frameworks
  • Java or other object-oriented programming experience
  • Experience with GWT, is a plus
  • Experience with RDBMS (Postgres, SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience with cloud technology stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Kafka, SSO, Cassandra)
  • Proficient in developing responsive content
  • Understanding of core web development principles (patterns, architecture, IDEs)
  • Experience with asynchronous workflows/patterns
  • Working knowledge of web trends, architecture, and deployment patterns
  • Experience with Git, including branching/merging workflows
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into software development workflows
  • Familiarity with frameworks and tools for building AI-powered applications
  • Understanding of prompt engineering and familiarity with utilizing generative AI tools to improve productivity.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
