THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a software developer to join our Rules Development Team. The Software Developer – Insurance Rules will work directly with our insurance clients to develop and maintain auto and property rating and underwriting rules through an internally developed Rules Composer. The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand complex insurance concepts while offering a high-level of customer service.
This is a full-time 12-month contract position that can be performed from our office in London, Ontario or remotely within Canada. Remote-based employees may occasionally be asked to travel to our office for meetings or team-building events and to client sites.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • A degree or diploma in Computer Programming, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on client success
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop new and existing rating and underwriting rules for insurance clients
  • Resolve client rating and underwriting issues
  • Meet with clients to analyze and gather requirements and identify solutions that enhance rating processes and insurance automation
  • Conduct analysis and testing
  • Work with senior team members to design solutions, including development of specifications to ensure quality
  • Create and maintain key documentation
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
