SOFTWARE DEVELOPER INTERN/ENGINEER (UI & INTEGRATION) – OPTICAL GROUND STATION CONTROL SOFTWARE

We are looking for a motivated Software Developer Intern/Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and integration of our Optical Ground Station (OGS) Control Software. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and play a pivotal role in both the backend and frontend integration of OGS systems.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Proficient in RestAPI .
• Familiar with RabbitMQ and message-driven architectures.
• Experience with Docker for containerization.
• Proficient in Python programming language.
• Familiarity with UI programming in NextJS .
• Experience with Grafana for data visualization.
• Knowledge of InfluxDB for time-series data management.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• This position is ideal for an undergraduate intern seeking hands-on experience, but we will also consider a junior engineer if they are available to start immediately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

PROJECT DETAILS:

• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Duration: 3 to 4 months.
• Site Visit: Required 2 to 3 times per week at the customer’s location.

• Contribute to front-end stack development of OGS software.
• Implement encryption and security functions for the software.
• Integrate databases and graphing interfaces for better data visualization.
• Assist in managing user rights and permissions within the system.
• Provide hardware integration support to ensure smooth functioning.
• Verify implementation performance and document the results and processes taken.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by the manager to ensure the project runs smoothly.
