As a Software Developer at CDM, you’ll play a pivotal role in our internal software development team, gaining hands-on experience from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments on different aspects of the software development lifecycle based on the varying needs of each department
- Participate in requirements gathering, architecture design, interface layout, and user acceptance testing
- Develop and support a suite of custom products to drive sales, marketing, product management, and executive staff functions
- Utilize technical skills in Visual Studio and C# development to enhance existing applications and create new solutions
- Apply a fundamental understanding of the Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework to produce standards compliant code across the board
- Utilize JavaScript, Ajax, and VBA to enhance user interfaces and functionality
- Contribute to data modeling, database design, and data warehousing efforts to improve overall application efficiency and future proof the final product
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing stored procedures and utilizing SQL Query Language to integrate data from disparate sources into a collection of streamlined databases spanning multiple environments
- Analyze and solve complex problems with a focus on scalability and security while providing exemplary end user support of in-house applications and core off the shelf ERP systems
- Design and develop user interfaces and user experiences for in-house web applications, mobile devices and stand-alone applications
- Conduct software code reviews, code optimization exercises and code standardization efforts
- Provide timely updates on a regular release schedule supplemented as needed with out of cycle hotfixes
- Create tools to test, validate and improve system efficiency, performance and security based on performance data
- Produce technical documentation based on final phase development efforts, release notes and feature release efforts
- Conduct training and orientation of new users or new features as needed
Technical Skills:
- Expert with Visual Studio and C# development (4-6 years)
- Expert with Model-View-Controller (MVC) (4-6 years)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, Ajax, and VBA (3-4 years)
- Strong understanding of SQL Query Language, Transact SQL, and SQL Server Management tools experience (3-4 years)
- Strong understanding of developing for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and newer, including writing stored procedures (3-4 years)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding of scalability issues (3-4 years)
- Experienced with data modeling, database design, and data warehousing knowledge (2-3 years)
- Experienced in design and development of User Experience and User Interfaces for in-house web applications (2-3 years)
- Experienced in software code review and bug correction (2-3 years)
- Experienced in software requirements gathering and updates (2-3 years)
- Experienced with versioning/source control (such as SVN) (2-3 years)
- Familiar with the creation of tools to improve system efficiency using performance data (1-2 years)
- Familiar with Azure cloud computing technologies, configurations and integration (1-2 years)
Other Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the US (visas are not sponsored).
- Must be able to interview in person at the listed location in Turnersville, NJ.
- Must be able to begin work within 3 weeks of an official offer (relocation is not paid).
- A background and drug screen may be required. Possibility for a driving/MVR screen.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Visual Studio (required)
- Minimum 4 year of experience in .Net development (required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AJAX (required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL (required)
