Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new functionality in our Java-based web applications and back-end services
• Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and other developers as a member of an Agile Scrum team to understand business requirements and deliver software solutions
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code while contributing to software quality through automated testing and code reviews
• Participate in code reviews and provide meaningful feedback to support the growth and success of the development team
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and support application issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Contribute to CI/CD initiatives and continuous improvement efforts that enhance software quality and delivery
• Leverage modern software engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery outcomes
• Actively learn and contribute ideas that improve development practices, application architecture, and user experience

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant software development experience
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design and development using languages such as Java or C#
• Experience developing web applications, services, and REST APIs
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and a continuous improvement mindset

The Following Would Be Considered Assets

• Experience with Spring Framework, Vue.js, PL/SQL, Python, Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with CI/CD practices, automated testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments
• Experience using AI-assisted technologies such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools to support software development and delivery
