JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Software Developer
Working Pattern: Full Time
Location: Bristol/Hybrid
The Software Developer will maintain key SEV&V capabilities including REDV (Requirements, Definition, Evidence, Verification) data management (currently via DOORS) and MBSE (currently via Cameo). They will ensure the operational health of these software packages as well as defining and enforcing global standards for their use. They will leverage their experience in Systems Engineering to effectively manage these capabilities and to lead their strategic development. Hence they will play a vital role in exploring and deploying new system engineering practices to improve understanding of potential business and technical architectures and solutions. They will report to the Capability Lead – Systems Engineering, Validation & Verification within the Global ET&S organisation.
Responsibilities:
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Ensure the REDV Software deployed to Defence UK programmes is maintained and used in accordance with global standards. Ensure provision of training, administration and governance
- Maintain the MBSE Software deployed to Defence UK programmes. This includes managing MBSE Training, Frameworks, MBSE Languages and perform or co-ordinate administrative activity (e.g. installations, login, licensing)
- Contribute to development of the SEV&V toolset strategy, promote global collaboration and participate in global toolset forums (internal and external)
- Provide toolset and method coaching and promote best practice in Defence UK programmes
