ABOUT THE ROLE

About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our Reinsurance IT team. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner with industry knowledge and a minimum of 10 years of experience with Oracle SQL language. The Senior Developer will be responsible for assisting with production support issues, month-end processes, and error handling procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE:

• Perform analyses of system and coding needs to identify the problems encountered and propose solutions including program specifications.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications / software components.
• Develop and maintain Oracle SQL queries and scripts for data analysis and reporting.
• Support and guide the project team in development activities to ensure the quality of the code delivered while meeting project deadlines.
• Write unit and integration tests for each function in which development is required.
• Participate in the implementation of regression testing strategies to improve the stability of the application components.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production support issues related to reinsurance processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth month-end processes.
• Implement error handling mechanisms to improve system reliability and performance.
• Provide support and maintenance (level 1) for the application and resolve complex anomalies.
• Must be open to perform user acceptance testing tasks.
