Responsibilities:

Technica has an exciting opportunity to join our team in providing Information Technology Services to the FBI’s Information Management Division (IMD). This program is responsible for managing the development and maintenance of the Information Technology (IT) Systems supporting the Enterprise Vetting Center (EVC) within IMD. We are looking for a Software Developer Senior. Responsible for the design, development, testing, and management of the application development projects in support of IT infrastructure.

  • This includes the programmatic integration of third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for all solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Duties include technical project milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, resource estimation, and development best practices knowledge transfer.
  • Provides technical lead of development staff, along with peer level interaction with project managers and architects.

This position is located at the FBI facility in Winchester, VA. For select positions, the FBI may locate the position in Washington, D.C., however that will be determined by the customer. The government has established policies for on-site vs remote work which varies across divisions and contracts. Staff are obligated to adhere to these and other FBI policies and react accordingly as policies change over time. Where allowed, hybrid work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

Requirements:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance w/SCI and CI Poly or ability to obtain CI Poly.
  • Bachelor’s and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in one of the following fields of expertise: AWS Cloud based solutions, C#, Java, Python
  • Prior experience designing, developing, testing, and managing application development projects in support of IT infrastructure.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the software development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
