Description

Are you a skilled Senior Software Developer with strong experience in IBM ACE, .NET frameworks, and enterprise integrations? Our client is looking for a hybrid contract role based in Toronto to support and sustain key public safety systems. This is a 8 month contract with the possibility of one extension.
The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of IBM Integration Bus, PowerShell scripting, and modern API protocols (REST/SOAP), with a strong ability to troubleshoot, automate, and collaborate in a dynamic development environment. If you have a knack for solving integration challenges and working across diverse technology stacks, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have:

  • Proficiency in IBM ACE, IIB, WebSphere Message Broker, and IBM MQ
  • Experience in .NET development frameworks (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET)
  • Proven integration skills with REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML
  • ️ Strong automation and scripting skills using PowerShell
  • ️ Solid database expertise: Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL
  • Experience configuring proxy servers and managing server security
  • ️ Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities

Nice to Have:
Familiarity with ArcGIS and ArcGIS APIs
Working knowledge of Java programming
Experience with Azure DevOps and version control
Experience designing secure, scalable integration workflows

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze web-based application architecture using .NET and integration platforms
  • Develop and support solutions using IBM ACE, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), and IBM MQ
  • Write and optimize message flows, ESQL scripts, and interface logic
  • Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs for system integration
  • Script automation processes using PowerShell
  • Support reverse/forward proxy configurations and manage Apache server settings
  • Utilize Oracle, SQL Server, and PL/SQL for data integration
  • Maintain technical documentation and participate in knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams for seamless delivery
