Trellance’s mission is to make sure credit unions have access to the tools and resources they need to grow, enhance member value and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.   About the Role We are looking for a Software Developer with up to 5 years of experience who enjoys working across application development and data analytics. This role blends full-stack engineering with analytics engineering, giving you the opportunity to build web applications while also transforming data into analytics-ready models using dbt. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver scalable applications and reliable data foundations that support business insights. Key Responsibilities * Design, build, and maintain analytics data models using dbt. * Build and consume RESTful APIs and backend services. * Develop responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces. * Write optimized SQL queries for data transformation and reporting. * Implement data quality checks, tests, and documentation in dbt. * Work with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for application and data deployments. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product and data requirements. * Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering and analytics practices. * Troubleshoot and resolve application and data pipeline issues. Required Skills & Qualifications * 2–5 years of experience in Software development / Analytics Engineering, or related roles. * Hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud). * Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling concepts. * Experience with cloud data warehouses preferably Snowflake. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Functions, Storage, SQL, etc.). * Experience building and consuming REST APIs. * Familiarity with Git and version control workflows. * Basic understanding of CI/CD and deployment concepts. Nice to Have * Frontend experience with React / Angular / Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript. * Backend experience with Node.js /C# .NET / Java / Python. * Exposure to Docker or container-based deployments. * Understanding of microservices or event-driven architectures. * Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau. * Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices. * Azure or dbt certifications. Soft Skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Good communication and collaboration abilities. * Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across app and data work. * Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
