Turner Industries is looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team in the Baton Rouge, LA area. A Software Developer II is expected to develop enterprise quality software solutions that can be changed and expanded with minimum effort. You are expected to become well versed in the Agile Methodology. As a member of an Agile Team, you will assist with designing, developing, and testing new and modified features for our software products. You are expected to understand business needs at a conceptual level and implement such needs at a technical level.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Programming competency of a professional software engineer
  • Positive and effective communication - verbal and written - with a wide variety of personalities
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies
  • Servant leadership that makes one approachable and a positive example for others
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and domain experts to produce user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Aid senior developers in designing algorithms, flowcharts, and domain models
  • Produce clean code with unit tests that can be refactored and expanded with minimum effort
  • Debug, upgrade, and refactor existing software
