QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • At least eight (8) years developing software with high-level languages - such as Microsoft .NET, REST API - in the development of application software for complex cloud and web-based systems

  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of proposal submission.

  • DoD 8570 compliance to include Primary IA certification such as Security+ CE, and Primary CE certification such as Microsoft MTA Security Fundamentals or Azure Fundamentals.

Peraton is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a fast-paced software modernization and sustainment team. The candidate will have a primary focus on supporting all aspects of agile software design and development, to include development of new capabilities, testing, optimization and performance tuning, operation, and sustainment functions for legacy application support.

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities associated with creating software across multiple functional areas and products.
  • Participates in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the software products.
  • Monitors technological trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
  • Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts. Help contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
  • Serves as organizational consultant and spokesperson on specialized projects or programs. Deals with all levels of the company and outside contacts.
  • May work in one or several areas, such as software design, development, evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, troubleshooting analysis and application security remediation.
  • Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives.
  • Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
