Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

IREE is an MLIR based, open source, ML compiler stack that can target multiple backends. As a new college graduate, or as someone looking to get into the field of compilers for AI, working in IREE code generation will be a great learning experience. This role will give you a chance to understand how to build, develop and deploy within a compiler used on multiple architectures. While this role is primarily targeted towards GPU code generation, the expectation is that candidates will broaden their scope to rest of the compiler stack, and potentially code generation on other architectures as well. This is a great opportunity to participate in open-source development and start engaging with a vibrant development community outside of AMD (Advanced Micro Devices).

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage and get to root cause of issues within the compiler (performance or functionality)
  • Formulate/ implement potential solutions for the problem based on understanding the transformations being done.
  • Develop and understanding of the overall compiler stack and find areas of improvement, in terms of both efficacies of optimizations, and compile time performance.
  • Engage with the community to develop in open source, contributing to both IREE and MLIR.
  • Maintain high level of code-quality and testing
