This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 6 years Location: Hyderabad JobType: full-time As an SDE-3, you will work at the intersection of engineering excellence, system design, and technical leadership, building backend systems and services using Node.js, Python, and Java. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions that power business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python, and Java Own system architecture decisions, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and scalability at scale Lead complex technical initiatives from design through deployment and post-production support Write clean, efficient, and testable code while enforcing best engineering practices Review code, provide constructive feedback, and set quality benchmarks for the engineering team Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions Optimize system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and drive root-cause analysis Mentor and guide mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence Contribute to improving development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering standards Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements aligned with business goals Required Skills & Qualifications 6–13 years of professional software development experience in backend or full-stack engineering Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, Python, and Java Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles Experience designing and building distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling Experience with asynchronous programming, concurrency, and multithreading Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization is a plus Experience with testing frameworks, logging, monitoring, and debugging production systems Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound technical trade-offs Soft Skills & Leadership Expectations Proven ability to lead by influence and collaborate across teams Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ownership mindset with a bias toward action and delivery Ability to mentor engineers and raise the overall technical bar of the team What We Offer Opportunity to work on high-impact, large-scale systems A culture that values engineering excellence and ownership Competitive compensation and growth opportunities Exposure to complex technical challenges and leadership responsibilities
