Job Title Software Development Engineer 4 Summary of the Role You’ll design, develop, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using Java and microservices architecture. This role involves building secure, high-performance solutions in containerized environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality throughout the software lifecycle. In This Role You’ll Analyze and define requirements, collaborating with product and architecture teams to finalize specifications. Design and implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, integrating with Couchbase, Artemis, and messaging frameworks. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring compliance with OpenAPI standards. Work with containerization and cloud platforms, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and JBoss. Perform testing and validation, including unit, integration, and performance tests, and troubleshoot production issues. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins, and maintain technical documentation. Mentor team members and share best practices for secure coding, performance tuning, and automation. About the Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Strong experience in Java (8+), Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Hands-on expertise with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and application servers (JBoss/WildFly). Proficiency in RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, and messaging frameworks (JMS, Artemis, Kafka). Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (Couchbase, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins) and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito). Knowledge of cloud-native design patterns and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
