Description

Position Overview
This position is for a software engineer to join a data service/management team serving Autodesk mainframe products.
The team is responsible for designing/implementing/deploying critical material related components/services for fulfilling the requirements of the product independently or by collaborating with other teams of Forge Group or Autodesk products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document new and existing software features
  • Work with product manager and product owners to interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements
  • Ensure high quality software is delivered by following engineering practices like peer code reviews, code standards, and unit testing
  • Apply extensive technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems

Qualifications

  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent domain
  • 0-2 year of work experience
  • Strong development proficiency in C++, programming skills
  • Proficiency in software development tools and version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with CAD software usage or development is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in QT, Jenkins, Python is a plus
  • Work experience in web technologies like React, JavaScript, Java is a plus
  • Require basic knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts within a specific discipline – typically gained through formal education or equivalent training
  • Perform routine, defined assignments with direct guidance and oversight from others with more experience
  • Learn to use professional concepts in practical situations through completion of work assignments and training
  • Take an active role in learning and becoming familiar with the discipline and broader team environment
  • Typically seek guidance on problems as they arise, and adapt to solve problems encountered previously
