Introduction to the Team Our B2B organization brings Expedia Group's innovative technology and distribution solutions to partners across the world, including global financial institutions, corporate managed travel, offline travel agents, global travel suppliers (like major airlines), and many more. Our B2B APIs team builds and maintains the critical API infrastructure that powers partner integrations across the globe. We develop scalable, reliable REST APIs and services that enable our partners to seamlessly access Expedia Group's travel inventory and technology platform. You'll work on high-impact projects that directly support our partners' success and business growth. In this role, you will: Design, develop, and test software applications and services using clean code principles, data structures, and design patterns Build and maintain production software in public and hybrid cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability and scalability Collaborate with cross-functional team members to co-develop solutions and solve complex technical challenges Debug applications and monitor your own code using established testing and monitoring tools Apply knowledge of API design patterns, data stores, and integration technologies to solve partner requirements Identify inefficiencies in existing systems and proactively propose improvements Coordinate stakeholder input when developing solutions to technical and business issues Lead small, well-defined projects while supporting more complex initiatives as part of the team Contribute to agile team practices including version control, code reviews, and iterative development Seek knowledge from subject matter experts and continuously build technical expertise in software engineering Experience and Qualifications 3+ years of professional software development experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience Proficiency in Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot framework Experience designing and building REST APIs or microservices architectures Experience developing software in a team environment using agile methodologies and version control Experience building and maintaining software in production environments using public or hybrid cloud infrastructure Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Familiarity with data stores, databases, and API access patterns Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
