YOUR ROLE AT SIXT You will design and build reliable, high-performance backend services that power core Ride workflows including booking, dispatch, and real-time trip management You will contribute to the architecture and evolution of distributed, event-driven systems that operate reliably across a global network of markets and service types You will collaborate closely with product, operations, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex mobility workflows into scalable and maintainable technical solutions You will own the development and improvement of internal services and shared libraries that raise the reliability and delivery speed of the Ride engineering team You will actively integrate AI coding tools such as Claude and Cursor into your daily engineering workflow, helping to embed AI-assisted development as a standard practice within the team YOUR SKILLS MATTER You hold a B.Tech, B.E, or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline You bring 4–6 years of hands-on backend engineering experience, ideally in cloud-native or distributed systems environments where scale and reliability were non-negotiable You have solid, production-level experience with Golang and are comfortable working within a modern microservices architecture You have practical exposure to designing or contributing to distributed systems and understand how to build services that are resilient, observable, and maintainable at scale You are familiar with event-driven patterns and message brokers such as Apache Kafka, and understand how pub-sub models support loosely coupled system design You actively use AI coding assistants such as Claude or Cursor to accelerate your development, while applying sound engineering judgment to validate, review, and own the output WHAT WE OFFER Grow Further, Go Further: Advance your skills and unlock your potential with our Education Assistance Program Balance Your Career: Benefit from a hybrid work environment complemented by flexible working hours Fuel Your Day: Great work deserves great fuel.
