This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer II in the United States. In this role, you’ll join a globally distributed engineering team focused on building intelligent tools that power exceptional customer experiences. You’ll design and develop scalable software solutions supporting customer success and automation, including AI-driven chatbots and ML-powered support platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work asynchronously with a diverse, international team, collaborating with product, design, and analytics experts. You’ll help shape the architecture of critical support systems, contribute to engineering excellence, and drive meaningful impact in how millions of users interact with technology every day. Accountabilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance core software products supporting customer success and support automation. Contribute to the design and implementation of chatbots and intelligent automation tools that guide users effectively. Participate in architectural decisions and ensure code quality and maintainability across systems. Build integrations and tools that streamline customer-facing processes and elevate user satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement impactful solutions. Support incident response and participate in escalations to ensure platform stability. Engage in peer code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and continuously improve team practices. 2+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent technical background. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python. Experience maintaining and deploying production software systems. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL architecture. Solid understanding of testing principles, including A/B testing. Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and asynchronously. Preferred: Experience developing customer-facing applications in ReactJS/React Native, or working with modern front-end frameworks.
