Responsibilities:
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for designing, developing, automated test frameworks and executing automated tests. The SDET collaborates closely with developers, product owners, and other roles in a cross functional agile team to deliver high-quality software products. This role requires a strong understanding of software development and test automation. The SDET will report to the Engineering Manager of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test Development.
- Design and develop automated tests.
- Select, build and maintain test frameworks, utilities, and libraries to support automated testing.
- Implement test data management strategies to ensure data integrity and consistency across different test environments.
- Develop scripts for multiple test levels - unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing, where and when applicable.
- Prepare function test plans in line with requirements.
- Fault logging, escalation and monitoring.
- Implement security testing practices, including testing for vulnerabilities, OWASP standards, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that the test automation framework and test cases adhere to industry best practices for security and privacy.
