Job Description
Are you passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions that are reliable, secure, and high-performing? Join our CVAL team, where your expertise as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be pivotal in enhancing our testing processes and ensuring our systems meet the highest quality standards.
As an SDET, you will bridge the gap between software development and testing, combining your skills in Python development with quality assurance expertise. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across the software development lifecycle. By enabling integration, system, and end-to-end (E2E) testing, you’ll play a critical role in delivering robust and reliable software that meets our users’ expectations.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong programming skills in Python for developing test scripts and frameworks.
- Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks for E2E and integration testing.
- Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and its implementation in software projects.
- Knowledge of testing best practices, including designing testable code and writing maintainable test scripts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into development workflows.
- Strong analytical skills to identify, isolate, and resolve defects across the system.
- Ability to work full time from our Customer’s office in London
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience working with manual testing processes and transitioning to automated solutions.
- Knowledge of system reliability testing and handling data flow validation.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and frameworks, especially SEMS policies.
- Experience with model validation testing and ensuring adherence to data-driven requirements.
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers to ensure features are written in a testable manner and follow best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites to validate models, integration points, and system behavior.
- Identify and report defects early in the development cycle, enabling faster resolution.
- Drive a multi-layered testing approach, including unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility for quality across the team.
