The WTE team is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Software Development Engineer in Test & Robotics Engineer with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. In this role, you will join our Quality Assurance team, focusing on the functional validation of Java Card Applets for NFC transactions on Apple devices. Additionally, you will take charge of designing, developing, and deploying custom robotics solutions tailored to meet the needs of various teams across Apple.
DESCRIPTION
You will become an integral part of a diverse team focused on qualifying NFC functionality across Apple’s groundbreaking devices. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the specifications for various Java Card applet developments, creating detailed test cases to validate these applets, and designing and developing automated test benches to streamline the qualification process. You will handle applet validation across multiple secure element platforms, document test results, and file comprehensive quality bug reports. Additionally, you will be designing and fabricating custom mechatronic assemblies and mechanical fixtures. You’ll leverage your expertise in mechanical engineering, including materials properties and strength, along with CAD modeling skills using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Your hands-on experience with laser cutters, 3D printers, and lathe machines will be essential in building prototypes, and your knowledge of Arduino and robotics systems, including robotic arms and mobile robots, will play a key role in developing custom solutions. You will apply strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and utilize version control systems like Git to manage development. Additionally, your troubleshooting expertise will help resolve issues in mechatronic systems, contributing to the quality and innovation of emerging technologies.The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic, creative environment and is excited to explore a rapidly evolving domain.
