SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE DESIRE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or similar years of professional and relevant experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional experience in software development with Java or other object-oriented languages, especially on backend solutions.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in CI/CD tools and processes.
• Proactive attitude and good communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases.
• Familiarity with basic network security concepts.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience in Linux, scripting, and Python.
• Payments industry knowledge.
• Front-end development experience (e.g. JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
• Experience in test automation frameworks and other tools around test automation (e.g. JaCoCo, Robot Framework and others).
• Experience in Continuous Deployment / Automated Deployments (e.g. Ansible).

Verifone is looking to hire a talented Software Development Engineer to become a key part of our engineering organization. You will work on our payment service solutions in the Nordics & Baltics region.
The Software Development Engineer will focus on design and do hands-on implementation work related to new functionalities, new integrations, and the optimization of our solutions using Agile methodologies. You will also work on integrating new technologies and services into our solutions and ensure that our test automation coverage is strong.
The Software Development Engineer will work in an exciting international environment and collaborate with other Verifone associates in multi-functional teams.
