Description
Backed by three of the world’s largest banks, FourTwoThree is quietly building resilience for an uncertain future. Our ecosystem connects lenders, corporates and solutions providers to the bedrock of the global economy — small and medium sized businesses. With unprecedented supply chain transparency we surface the commercial opportunities that enable genuine progress toward sustainable, resilient growth. The Company FourTwoThree is a resilience technology company that builds and operates a data platform that nimbly connects all key players of the global economy. In collaboration with our network of partners, we empower businesses with the actions and tailored products/services needed to become more resilient and efficient. This in turn gives our customers – financial institutions and large corporations – a more transparent, resilient portfolio and a new paradigm of data-qualified commercial opportunities. We've secured our first customers and have an extensive network of co-creation partners eager to help us succeed. We're led by three founders with deep expertise in finance, technology and sustainability across four continents, and who have all learned (usually the hard way!) how to make genuine impacts in complex, process-heavy industries. Our engineering practice Our platform and our culture are being designed from the ground-up for speed and adaptability, which is exactly what is needed to fulfil our mission. In relentless pursuit of rapid yet robust delivery, we’ve removed many of the conventional silos that you’ll find in most software companies. From our org structure to our processes and down to our code itself, collaboration and a generalist approach is fundamental. Our engineering team consists of people who put the business first. Well-made software is vital, but it is simply a means to an end. If you're someone who wants to do more than simply “build cool stuff”, and you are driven to play a key part in building an efficient and meaningful business, we’d love to have a chat. The role We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our small but growing Singapore-based engineering team. This individual will play a pivotal role in the foundations of our company, with an opportunity to make key architectural decisions, be a supportive leader and mentor to members of the team, and help us define our engineering culture in the years ahead. We care less about how long you’ve been a technologist and more about how you’ve grown in your craft and technical leadership style. Your reports are ambitious and business-minded – while they do need to learn from your experience (particularly the many mistakes you have likely made over your career!), they also need to feel empowered by you. That means supporting them in their work, constructively nudging them toward more robust approaches, and setting an example through honesty and pragmatism. As mentioned above, all of our roles are full-stack, from front-end to back-end to our infrastructure and pipelines. While you do not need to be an expert in all areas, you should be able to make meaningful contributions in terms of architecture, security and scale in collaboration with our CTO and other members of the team. We offer competitive compensation, participation in our ESOP scheme, premium benefits including group medical insurance, a generous annual leave allotment, and more.
Responsibilities
This individual will play a pivotal role in the foundations of the company, making key architectural decisions and acting as a supportive leader and mentor to team members. They will also help define the engineering culture for the coming years.
