Essential Qualifications:
―Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
―Degree/relevant qualification in the subject area
Essential Qualities:
―Extremely organised and able to manage your own workload effectively and flexibly
―Highly motivated and driven to succeed
―Outstanding teaching and communication skills and understanding of Ofsted framework
―Solution-focused and able to responding to data trends
―Assertive and confident in learning environment management

―Empathy towards the many challenges faced by young adults in a demographic with high free school meals rate and poverty levels

Technical Skills:
―Good understanding of Django​/Python Language, HTML, CSS & Java Script​
―Experienced in SQL and relational database​, legislation and regulatory requirement​s
―Design documentation & repository (GitHub)​
―Computer engineering (Hardware & Software)​ and networking
―Information analysis, understand business needs & requirements and derive the best system solution​
―We welcome industry professionals who wish to enter teaching, via the fully funded Taking Teaching Further scheme’s qualification. This is 6 months of reduced timetable for training whilst receiving full pay and lesson cover.
Key Tasks:
―Plan and deliver exciting lessons supporting learner progression, that relate to their needs and interests
―Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding (CPOMS)
―Record attendance and academic notes on Arbor MIS
―Track learner progression on the allocated Google Sheets
―Develop innovative opportunities for interdepartmental and intradepartmental project collaborations
―Use a range of assessment methods and provide outstanding and prompt feedback to inspire learners
―Complete learner one-to-one tutorials and individual learning plans on a bi-termly basis
―Facilitate the wide-range of enrichment trips and guest speaker events arranged across the year
―Work towards a stable learner retention and qualification achievement rate
―Undertake in-house training to remain up-to-date with awarding body expectations
―Support learners to prepare for their assessed end-of-year project
Salary and Days of Work
―24.3 hours across 3.5 days a week for 52 weeks per year
―Pro rata of 35 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays
―This is a permanent part-time position
―Start Date ASAP
―Salary range FTE £28,000 – £42,000 (Actual salary £19,432 – £29,148)
