Your Team The Analog Competency Center provides leading-edge custom analog, ESD and IO solutions for microprocessors and microcontrollers with mixed A/D signal processing circuits. We are currently looking for a student for a 6-month internship to develop and prototype a new machine learning and computer vision system that will be used to debug and categorize IC field failures. Your Responsibilities Gathering requirements for IC field failure root-cause characterization Literature survey to understand existing state of the art and potential areas for innovation Developing preliminary data mining/analysis techniques, including natural language processing and image classification/segmentation agents applied to IC field failure reports Training these agents on a subset of IC field failures to create a machine learning model to categorize a much larger universe of failures What’s in it for you A great opportunity to develop your skills (technical, soft skills, communication, etc.) Gaining experience in a multinational and diverse environment Possibility to become part of NXP’s Young Professional Talent Pool Working on real assignments which contribute to NXP’s objectives Your profile Master of Science - last year of engineering school, with strong bases/understanding of Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Neural Networks, Generative AI and Natural Language Processing. A familiarity with CMOS circuits would be a plus Affinity with Python programming development Good level of English proficiency is required (attendance at meetings / presentations to international team, reading and writing of documentation) Duration This is a full-time internship (40 hours per week) with a duration of 6 months or longer. The assignment could also be suitable as a thesis/graduation project.
