16VC is building a founder-first platform focused on supporting early-stage technology and AI startups through our fellowship, studio, and investment initiatives. We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help evolve our digital platform and ship new features quickly. What You'll Do Build and enhance our website and internal platform using Next.js and React. Develop responsive, performant, and maintainable user interfaces. Implement new pages, features, and integrations. Optimize performance, SEO, and accessibility. Collaborate closely with the founding team to turn ideas into production-ready features. Deploy and manage applications on Vercel. Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code. Requirements 2+ years of experience building production web applications. Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Experience with Tailwind CSS. Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows. Experience deploying applications on Vercel. Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code within deadlines. Nice to Have Experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, or Firebase. API integrations (REST/GraphQL). Authentication and user management. Experience working with AI APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic. Understanding of modern frontend performance and SEO best practices.
