Job Duties:

  • Work across many backend services which power subscriber experiences onsite and in native mobile apps.
  • Write high-quality code with best practices and design patterns in mind and engage in code review/quality assurance.
  • Work with your partners from different teams and disciplines to create a scalable experimentation and personalization architecture.
  • Consult with your partners in Product to form sprint goals and break work into atomic units.
  • Optimize the underlying AWS infrastructure for subscription services for performance and cost.
  • Use your experience to help guide technical decisions and participate in technical architecture discussions

Requirements:
Employer will accept a master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

  • Using Java EE to write code that promotes code reuse;
  • Writing unit, integration and end to end tests to ensure code quality;
  • DevOps technologies: Docker, Jenkins, and AWS Products;
  • MySQL, Oracle, and Splunk;
  • At least one of the following applications: Wildfly, Glassfish, Tomcat;
  • Web servers (httpd and Nginx); and
  • JMS, ActiveMq, SQS/SNS (AWS).

The salary range for this posting is: $122,699 to $164,600/year
The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
