Overview of the role We are looking for a Software Engineer II to support our AI platform and microservices ecosystem. The role involves building RESTful APIs using Python and .NET Core, contributing to AI-enabled workflows (RAG, LLM integrations), and working closely with frontend and platform teams under the guidance of Lead AI Engineers. What you’ll do Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI / Flask / Django) and .NET Core (ASP.NET Core). Build backend services within a microservices architecture. Contribute to AI-enabled services, including: LLM integrations RAG pipelines (document ingestion, retrieval, response orchestration) Integrate services with Azure AI / Azure OpenAI. Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews. Debug, optimize, and support production systems. What we’re looking forBackend & APIs Strong experience in Python and/or .NET Core Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core and Python frameworks Solid understanding of HTTP, REST principles, authentication (JWT / OAuth) Experience working with microservices AI / Platform Exposure Exposure to AI / LLM services (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, or similar) Basic understanding of: embeddings vector search Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Client-Side Exposure Working knowledge of any modern frontend framework: React / Angular / Vue Ability to consume APIs and debug UI–backend interactions Good to Have Exposure to Azure cloud services Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/containers Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Understanding of AI service performance, latency, and cost considerations #LI-HYBRID #LI-RP1 Why work for Euromonitor?
