Job Description Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigates problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. The Software Engineer 3 contractor position is part of a state government team and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions. The Software Engineer 3 will perform developer duties that will include solution design and development, process automations, infrastructure management, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The contractor role is for a senior robotics developer for technologies that may include BluePrism, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure. The role will be responsible for developing, testing, and troubleshooting bots that will automate various business processes. Hands-on experience with BluePrism, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure is a must along with the ability to troubleshoot and validate HTTP responses. Knowledge of DOM, HTTP protocol, JavaScript, and HTML is also required. This will be a fast-paced project working in an Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environment. Services are expected to start 12/15/2025 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2026. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 1500 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing. Position is ONSITE/Hybrid (with some hybrid work – determined by the hiring manager). The program will only accept LOCAL ONLY candidates for this position. (Onsite Days, Mondays and Tuesdays) and (Remote Days, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays). The program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY.
