The Role: What to expect We are seeking a talented and dedicated Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Applied AI team, focusing on the development and enhancement of our state-of-the-art Fleet Management System. You will work collaboratively with international colleagues to design, develop, and test core services that will be utilized in production facilities worldwide. Role Responsibilities: What you will do Develop and optimize Multi-Robot Coordination & Control, Multi-Agent Pickup and Delivery, Real-Time Task Assignment, and other essential components of our Fleet Management System. Design, implement, and test fleet management services for global deployment in production environments. Contribute to the design and implementation of internal tools used by different teams across the company. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various disciplines to meet project milestones and deliver high-quality features on schedule. Demonstrate autonomy in managing tasks and taking strategic initiatives to enhance the product. Role Requirements: What you need to succeed Essential Qualifications: Proficient in Python, C++, Rust or similar programming languages. Practical knowledge of Docker, Git, and Linux. Comfortable working asynchronously within a distributed team. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Multi-Robot Coordination approaches and the field of Operations Research. Familiarity with solving Optimization problems using Google OR-Tools, Gurobi, Timefold, or similar. Experience with Python's scientific stack, including numpy, scipy, pandas, etc. Experience or familiarity with our tech stack: Rust, Java, Python, Redis, RabbitMQ, and AWS. Previous experience running code in production environments. Passion for staying current with cutting-edge approaches in Operations Research and Machine Learning for Fleet Management tasks (e.g., MAPF, MAPD, Traffic Forecasting).
