Position Overview We’re searching for a Software Engineer to join our Canada Commercial Lines Development team in a remote setting. In this role, you will participate in the development of a modern containerized web application as well as the maintenance of a Windows client/server application. What You’ll Do Collaborate with an Agile Scrum team to deliver high-quality technical solutions based on business requirements. Design, develop, implement, test, document, release, and support production-quality software as we continuously improve scalability while maintaining velocity Contribute to development and new features, maintenance of existing functionality, and automated testing to provide high quality for customers Monitor application performance in production and non-production environments to proactively identify, debug, and resolve application and performance issues Collaborate within a development team to deliver high-quality and improve usability Continuously learn about new tools and technologies We’re Excited to Learn More About You 3 years of work experience in software engineering and development with: - Go, React, Angular, C#, Smalltalk would be a plus - Testing frameworks such as Cypress - PostgreSQL or BigQuery - Google Cloud, Azure, Kubernetes, Containerization Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and tools like Jira and Confluence Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment We know that talent comes from all backgrounds and experience levels.
