Job Overview:
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, deploying, and supporting custom solutions using Back-End technologies. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and experience developing custom solutions in a fast-paced client-facing environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

We’re looking for someone who:

• Can work 100% remotely, or from an Applied Systems office

Your experience should include some or all of the following:

• 3- 5+ year’s experience (or college equivalent)
• Experience creating enterprise software using C#/.net core, .net, Asp.net, MVC, Web API, JavaScript, JAVA, SQL Server, and Visual Studio
• Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence
• Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment
• Strong work ethic and ability to deliver solutions in committed timeframes
• Proven technical abilities
• Skilled troubleshooting and research abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability and willingness to be part of a high-functioning team
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent work experience

Additionally, you may have:

• Experience with Gitlab, IIS, Octopus Deploy, Kubernetes, or containerization a plus

• Become a dedicated participant of the Solution Services team
• Collaborate with other members on the Solution Services to self-manage feature development to completion.
• Work directly with clients to provide support and consulting on our reusable and custom solutions
• Collaborate with other developers on technical solutions
• Identify and communicate possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers
• Manage multiple projects using organizational/planning skills
• Operate within defined standards and procedures
