THERE ARE A FEW REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
• Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA)

Aquila is seeking a Software Engineer will be responsible for directly contributing to the pointing, acquisition, and tracking (PAT) team within the Laser Communications Group. This multi-disciplinary team leverages knowledge of devices, electronics, analysis software, embedded software, test infrastructures, algorithms, atmospheric propagation, disturbance rejection, free-space optics, opto-mechanics, and controls systems while creating low size, weight, and power (SWaP) solutions for lasercom terminals to repeatably and reliably point at each other. Without effective PAT, free space lasercom links cannot be established.
