INTRODUCTION TO THE JOB

As our Software Engineer in the Imaging Metrology department, you will help ASML’s customers achieve optimal performance in high-volume chip manufacturing. You’ll contribute to the development of metrology systems that measure and compensate for sub-nanometer inaccuracies caused by material imperfections, temperature fluctuations, and atmospheric pressure changes. Without your expertise, ASML cannot maintain the precision required for next-generation semiconductor production.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
  • Proven experience with C++ programming, object-oriented design, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and scripting/automation tools such as Robot Framework and Google Mock.
  • Experience using GIT, JIRA, and BitBucket.
  • A background in working within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of the MX DUV Imaging Metrology team within the Development & Engineering (D&E) sector. In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, test, and integrate software for ASML’s lithography machines and applications.
  • Implement analytics, control, and algorithmic solutions to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver software solutions across multiple products.
  • Explore problems from multiple angles and propose innovative solutions in a technically uncertain environment.
  • Balance quality with timely delivery, acting autonomously in your area of expertise.
  • Define and implement design solutions independently.
  • Apply and adhere to ASML’s quality standards and development practices.
