As a Software Engineer at CMT, you will be responsible for collaboratively delivering technical solutions to the heart of our state-of-the-art telematics pipeline. You will design, develop, and execute new features and improvements, continuously improving our codebase while working with peer teams. CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Software Engineer I, Backend who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better! Responsibilities: Make contributions to the team using proper software development procedures and method Assist in solving complex problems and transform them into business solutions Participate in code and design reviews Full stack design and development with a focus on maintainability, usability, scalability and performance Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for telematics solutions, ensuring safe delivery of features and fixes Help analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications Provide required support for occasional production issues Follow the company’s development and operational standards and processes Complete any additional tasks as they arise Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in Computer Science or related field Ability to learn quickly and solve complex problems Ability to collaborate in a team environment Ability to do general development tasks on Linux Some professional engineering experience preferred Experience and exposure with some or all of the following: Python, Javascript (NodeJS), any language with transferable skills AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS Creating, maintaining: CI/CD pipelines Containerization technologies (specifically Docker) Developing web applications (RESTful HTTP backend) Compensation and Benefits: Fair and competitive salary based on skills and experience, and annual performance bonus Equity may be awarded in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, matching 401k, short-term & long-term disability and parental leave Unlimited Paid Time Off including vacation, sick days & public holidays Flexible scheduling and work from home policy depending on role and responsibilities Base Salary Range The base salary range for this position is: 92,900 to 116,100.
