Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer (C++) to join our team in Berlin, Germany. We offer flexible working hours and the option for partial remote work. You will join the agile engineering team behind PIX4Dmatic, our next-generation desktop application designed for large-scale photogrammetry and professional mapping. We are a collaborative group that values transparency and iterative growth. We operate in 3-week sprints, balancing rapid feature development with high-quality releases. You’ll be part of the entire lifecycle - from the initial estimation of new features to the final release at the end of the sprint. Our team bridges the gap between complex R&D research and a seamless user experience, ensuring that specialized algorithms are effectively integrated into a high-performance, cross-platform environment. Responsibilities Feature Development: Designing and implementing new features that span the entire stack, from QML-based UI components to backend logic. Agile Collaboration: Actively participating in technical estimations and sprint planning to help the team commit to realistic and impactful goals. Code Quality: Writing clean, maintainable C++ code and performing code reviews to ensure the stability of our application. Algorithm Integration: Implement and optimize the backend logic required to support new photogrammetry and image processing capabilities developed by our R&D teams. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth user experience while gaining a deep understanding of our architecture Specialized Projects: Depending on your interests and team needs, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into specialized areas such as coordinate reference systems (CRS), 3D visualization, etc. Requirements Solid foundation in C++ . Familiarity with, or a desire to learn, Qt/QML for desktop UI development. An "Agile mindset" - you enjoy collaborating, estimating work together, and improving the product through continuous iteration. Experience or interest in 3D graphics, Windows development or geospatial data is a significant plus. Proficient English language skills, written and spoken. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential, to communicate and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
