Role Summary:
The Software Engineer Co-Op will play a key role in developing and optimizing software solutions for Clarapath’s advanced electro-mechanical device, SectionStar™. This role requires expertise in software development, debugging, and system integration, supporting a cross-disciplinary team of engineers while contributing to the daily end-to-end software needs of the enterprise. The ideal candidate will assist in coding, testing, and refining software applications, ensuring seamless operation and performance improvements to support company growth. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, version control (Git), and debugging techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with embedded systems, real-time processing, or automation software, a plus
Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and debug software applications for SectionStar™
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate software with hardware components
  • Optimize and refine existing codebases for improved performance and reliability
  • Assist in developing user interfaces, automation scripts, and data processing algorithms
  • Participate in software validation and verification testing to ensure system functionality
  • Document software designs, coding practices, and testing procedures
  • Support troubleshooting and bug-fixing efforts in both development and production environments
