You will work on programs that will help keep monthly payments manageable or help those borrowers come with different terms.. On our team, you will be in the middle of it all – implementing new functionality, architecting new features, squashing bugs, maintaining the health of our code, and continually growing as an engineer. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from business requirement clarification through building, testing, deploying, monitoring and supporting critical systems. You’ll face and solve a wide range of challenges: technical, product, and operational, shaping your personal growth and career along the way, building engineering fundamentals for greater contribution. An efficient Collections system is instrumental in 10xing the company, and you have the opportunity to help shape and guide that future and exponentially grow the customer base of this product. What you’ll do: Architecting, designing, and delivering scalable, highly available services Owning and ideating on technical solutions for product requirements and user stories Participating heavily in code and design reviews Generating ideas for new initiatives and technologies Becoming domain experts on the Lending business and Collections space Collaborating and representing engineering with outside stakeholders in product marketing, operations, business, legal, and compliance Working in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment across multiple offices What you’ll need: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field 1+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack. Our core stack is Kotlin/ Java / Spring / PostgreSQL. Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, and relational databases Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; driving a project from inception to completion Affinity for solving problems and diving deep into the details Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests Nice to have: Experience working in a regulatory environment A passion for well-tested code and utilizing testing frameworks Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
