Description
We’ve signed up to an ambitious journey. Join us! As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isn’t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Let’s grow better, together. One of the teams leading this transformation is Parkopedia, the world’s leading connected car services provider and part of the Arrive family. Parkopedia powers in-car experiences for millions of drivers and partners with leading brands such as Apple, Here, TomTom, and major automotive manufacturers including Audi and Volkswagen. Its mission: to make mobility ecological, efficient, and convenient through data and transaction services. At Parkopedia, we build the technology that helps drivers and vehicles find and pay for parking effortlessly — from open-air lots to complex indoor garages. Our Computer Vision team combines deep learning, traditional computer vision methods and spatial data processing to turn vast amounts of imagery into insights for off- and on-street parking. This imagery not only powers our prediction systems, which forecast parking availability much like a weather service, but also internal tooling used across the organisation. We’re hiring a Software Engineer to help us enhance and streamline processes across the company by leveraging Computer Vision and Deep Learning technologies to improve scalability and efficiency. Your primary focus will be on the software engineering aspects of the Computer Vision Team, collaborating closely with Deep Learning research engineers and fellow Python developers to provide crucial support. This position plays a key role in achieving high levels of efficiency internally required to deliver our services to partners and customers globally. What You’ll Do You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for building scalable systems and high-quality data pipelines. Your work may include: Building, deploying, and maintaining data ingestion and transformation pipelines Contributing to automation, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines for production systems Writing clean, tested, and maintainable code in Python Working with 2D/3D geometry and applying spatial reasoning to real-world mapping problems Developing scalable infrastructure using Apache Airflow, AWS, Docker, and SQL Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile development processes Learning from and supporting senior engineers while developing your own skills and independence work on imagery pipelines, machine learning workflows, automated data quality systems, AWS CDK infrastructure code, maintaining web-based tools What We’re Looking For You don’t need to tick every box — we’re hiring for potential and mindset, not just current knowledge. Must-have: Strong programming skills in Python Familiarity with Docker, SQL/MySQL, and CI/CD pipelines Good understanding of software development fundamentals and version control (e.g. Git) A curious, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new tools and technologies Experience with testing, debugging, and writing maintainable code Good communication skills in English and an interest in real-world data problems Nice to have (and you’ll have the chance to learn these on the job): Basic understanding of web development or Node-based frameworks Experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS) and infrastructure as code (CDK) Interest or experience in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or 3D data processing Exposure to geometric algorithms, GIS concepts What We Offer A chance to help shape a global, industry-leading product from our Chișinău office Flexible working hours and hybrid setup Training opportunities and career development support A friendly and collaborative team culture About us Arrive, including brands like EasyPark, Flowbird, RingGo, ParkMobile and Parkopedia, is a leading global mobility platform. Present in over 90 countries and 20,000 cities, the company helps people and decision-makers make smarter decisions about urban mobility and ease the experience of travel worldwide. Arrive delivers a unique combination of the core ingredients to make cities more livable: from smart payments and optimized car parks to data-driven traffic reduction and support for reinvestment in public transport and green space. It’s about more than function, it’s about saving time and simplifying the experience of travel for everyone. Travel is more than a journey, it’s how you Arrive.
