As data breaches become more frequent and traditional defenses fall short, we focus on data exposure management to keep your information safe. Our unified data security platform addresses vulnerabilities in hybrid multicloud environments, defends against threats, and makes it easier to discover, assess, and fix data exposure risks. Whether implementing a Zero Trust model or preparing for the post-quantum computing era, we help businesses worldwide protect their most sensitive data, wherever it is. Our commitment to solving the world’s toughest data security challenges has earned Fortanix multiple Cybersecurity Excellence and Innovation Awards, as well as recognition from industry giants such as NVIDIA, Microsoft, Intel, ServiceNow, and Snowflake. Our team includes industry leaders and cryptography experts, creating a culture of trust, innovation and collaboration where every voice is valued. Recognized as a Great Place to Work, we're looking for passionate individuals to help us shape the future of data security and work towards a safer digital future. We are hiring Software Engineers across mid and senior levels to help build our Confidential Computing Manager platform; final title and level will be determined based on your technical evaluation and experience. As part of the Confidential Computing Manager team, you will design and operate backend services that run on hardware‑backed Trusted Execution Environments (Intel SGX/TDX, AMD SEV, Nitro Enclaves, etc.). You’ll work on building secure‑by‑design, highly available services that orchestrate confidential workloads across hybrid and multicloud environments. What you’ll do Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to break down high‑level product requirements into clear technical specifications, system designs, and implementation plans. Design, build, and operate microservices and REST APIs for the Confidential Computing Manager platform. Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for performance, scale, and reliability (SQL or NoSQL). Implement, test, and maintain backend components and services, primarily using Rust. Deploy, monitor, and tune services running in hybrid cloud environments, focusing on performance, resilience, and cost efficiency. Apply security best practices to build systems that are secure by design, resilient in production, and straightforward to maintain. Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to a collaborative, supportive engineering culture. What we’re looking for 3–8 years of professional software engineering experience (we will match level and title to your experience and demonstrated impact). Hands‑on experience with building backend systems in Rust Strong backend development experience building microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems. Proficiency in database architecture, performance tuning, and scaling (relational and/or NoSQL). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment infrastructure. Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid experience working in Linux environments, including builds, debugging, and deployment. Nice to have: experience with confidential computing, secure enclaves, or TEEs (e.g., Intel SGX/TDX, AMD SEV, Nitro Enclaves). Strong problem‑solving skills, ownership mindset, and clear, effective communication. This role is preferably based out of our Bangalore, India office, but remote options may be considered for exceptional candidates. If you are passionate about building secure, scalable systems and want to help define the future of confidential computing, we’d love to hear from you.
